Here is the 2nd de Plume in the Triste Fight (1/12) pack named Kuan Ti (關帝) which I believe refer to a famed general, Guan Yu (aka Guan Yunchang), during China's Three Kingdom period in the late Han period. He was revered of his integrity and high moral. In the popular novel "Romance of the Three Kingdom", Guan Yu was described as red faced with long beard. And I think Kuan Ti took the cue from there hence the predominantly red in his design.
Kuan Ti was also made in 1/6 but can only be acquire if one attend the Beijing Gathering (北京聚會) back in late June 2010. Needless to say, secondary market for this figure shoots through the roof and sellers are now asking in the vicinity of US$2000 for one. Never a believer of paying such high prices for modern day toys hence when a 1/12 scale was made available, and only to 3AA members, I jump on the chance. Not a bad decision I may say. The only very visible difference from it's 1/6 bigger brother is he has a reddish veil and this smaller one is a greyish one. Underneath that veil, it is a red cloth hence the greyish hue is actually the weathering... over weathering perhaps.
Pose ability is never an issue with this 1/12 figure and as mentioned in the Gebi entry, probably because of it's light weight, extreme running poses are enable with the figure still standing on it's own balance without need for any support.
These 1/12 humanoids are very encouraging and I do like how they turned out to be very close in quality to their 1/6 counterpart. Will definitely add more 1/12 to my collection when some others are available in the near future. Perhaps some TKs...
