Macross Zantraedi Regult Scout - Hasegawa 1/72 Model Kit

Regult Tactical Scouts are Battle Pods featured in the Super Dimension Fortress Macross television series. Manufactured by Ectromelia, they were used by the Zentradi during Space War I.
A deadly addition to the Zentradi Regult mecha forces, the Tactical Scout is the reconnaissance variant of the standard Regult battle pod. Removing all weaponry, the Tactical Scout is equipped with many additional sensor clusters and long-range detection equipment.

Always found operating among other Regult mecha, the Scout is capable of early warning enemy detection as well as ECM/ECCM roles (Electronic Countermeasures/Electronic Counter-Countermeasures).

Macross Zantraedi Quamzin Kravshera's Pod Glaug - Bandai 1/100 Model Kit

The Glaug (グラージ) (pronounced "Glaaj") is a larger and more heavily armed tactical pod used by unit commanders in the mecha forces of the Zentradi Army, first seen in the Super Dimension Fortress Macross television series.
Increasing the firepower beyond the standard Regult Battle Pod, the Glaug is built with two arm units each holding one large-bore and one small-bore impact cannons and the Glaug also is equipped with a rare long range top-mounted, electron beam cannon.
Along with the standard two anti-personnel cannons on the front ventral side of the fuselage, the Glaug can operate in nearly any capacity. To handle the increased power demands, the Glaug has a much more powerful single fusion reactor. Like the Reguld, the Glaug is ground based within a planetary atmosphere but uses numerous vernier thrusters and powerful dual engines for space flight.

Quamzin Kravshera,  the Pilot is an interesting character and is worth to read more about the character.

MACROSS VF-1J Hikaru Ichijo Valkyrie Variable Fighter - Kaiyodo Revoltech Series No.034

The VF-1J Valkyrie is a variable fighter featured in the Super Dimension Fortress Macross television series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? and Macross Plus Movie Edition movies, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Flash Back 2012 and Macross Plus OVAs. It was famously piloted by Hikaru Ichijyo during Space War I.
Shinnakasu Heavy Industry's VF-1J (the "J" speculated as a prideful designation of the fighter's region of origin) is an upgraded version of the standard VF-1, typically assigned to the senior officer of an air team or to a squadron leader.
Unlike Stonewell/Bellcom's VF-1D, the VF-1J remains a single seat fighter but shares the slightly increased firepower of that variant. The new head unit of the VF-1J (developed by Kyuusei Industry) features two Mauler RÖV-20 anti-aircraft laser cannons in a slightly improved configuration. Naturally, when the Shinnakasu-designed GBP-1S "Armored" system was given first operational deployment, it was installed on a VF-1J.

Macross VF-1 GBP-1S Kaiyodo K&M Series 002 Boxed Gashapon

Originally commissioned only for special operations, the GBP-1S nonetheless saw first operational deployment in space for a routine patrol on October 2009. Then Second Lieutenant Hikaru Ichijo launched from CVS-101 Prometheus in a GBP-1S equipped VF-1J Valkyrie on a deep space reconnaissance mission to determine possible Zentradi incursion. Very little useful information on performance was gained from the deployment of the GBP-1S during Hikaru's mission, mostly due to poor tactical maneuvering. Although flight records do indicate the GBP-1S functioned as designed, both offensively and defensively, the effectiveness of the unit was left in question. Some UNS analysts critical of the October 2009 deployment suggest the poorly conceived near-simultaneous launch of the full GBP-1S ordnance allowed the enemy to intercept a few initial missiles resulting in the sequential, premature detonation of most the munitions before they were able to impact. These same analysts also note the successful defensive performance of the GBP-1S, resulting in the initial counter of several direct hits from enemy fire before the system was ejected from Lt. Ichijo's VF-1J.

Revoltech : Macross Zentradi ゼントラーディ人 Regult Tactical Pod

It has been a long time coming. Always wanted to put this up on the blog but the initial set of pictures taken wasn't up to my expectations. Thought I'll come around taking the 2nd set of pictures but that never happen. Spent a little time re-looking the first set of pictures and chose a few that are able to work on.
And here it is, the favorite mecha in the entire Macross universe. I'm dead sure the inspiration of the design came from AT-ST (All Terrain Scout Transport) of Starwars. And like the AT-ST, the Regult Tactical Pod was from the bad guys faction called the Zentradi (ゼントラーディ人). The Pod is like their infantry, foot soldiers, cannon fodder and most basic battle mecha.
