Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars - Mythos Obi-Wan Kenobi

"Mythos is not based on any scene. It's kind of connecting dots in between what could have happened, what might have happened. It's for you to decide how you want to display it and the story you want to tell with your collection."— Matt Bischof

True to that philosophy, Sideshow’s 2017 1/6 scale Mythos Obi-Wan action figure features a facial likeness clearly modeled after a middle-aged Sir Alec Guinness. Although the figure was released 12 years after Revenge of the Sith—giving Sideshow the perfect opportunity to use a middle-aged Ewan McGregor—they chose Guinness instead, which aligns perfectly with my own preference for the classic "Old Ben" likeness.
In 2024, Sideshow release another statue version in 1/4 scale of this character now giving both headsculpts options.

Chronologically, the figure is set in the timeline between Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV – A New Hope. After surviving the Jedi purge of Order 66, Obi-Wan went into hiding on the desert planet of Tatooine. Adopting the alias "Ben" Kenobi, he lived in complete seclusion to avoid the Empire's attention, dedicating his life to a single, critical mission: ensuring the safety of Anakin Skywalker’s young son, Luke Skywalker.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars - Return of the Jedi - Klaatu Skiff Guard

Klaatu's Story :

Klaatu was a Kadas'sa'Nikto male from the planet Kintan who served as a bodyguard for the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure in the criminal's palace on the desert planet Tatooine. He was also hired to keep the Hutt crime lord's skiffs in perfect condition.

At the palace, Klaatu spent his time repairing skiffs and amassing larger and larger gambling debts. During the childhood of Luke Skywalker, who was raised as a moisture farmer on Tatooine from 19 BBY, Klaatu became infamous across the planet for his dark deeds. In 4 ABY, the guard was present early one morning when the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO arrived at the palace, carrying a message for Jabba from Skywalker, who was now a Jedi Knight. In the message, Skywalker asked to bargain with the Hutt for the freedom of the smuggler Han Solo and then gifted the droids to Jabba as a sign of good will. After viewing it, Jabba declared that he had no interest in losing Solo, who was frozen in carbonite and kept displayed on the wall of the Hutt's throne room.

He was killed aboard Jabba's sail barge Khetanna on Tatooine during the failed execution of Luke Skywalker and his companions.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars - A New Hope - Greedo

Star Wars Fandom
Greedo was a male Rodian bounty hunter who grew up on Tatooine in Mos Espa. During the Clone Wars, he was hired by the Trade Federation to kidnap Chi Eekway Papanoida and Che Amanwe Papanoida, the daughters of Chairman Papanoida, but was forced by the chairman to lead him and his son Ion to them. He was occasionally hired by crime lord Jabba the Hutt for various mercenary jobs, including the capture of Han Solo, who killed the luckless Rodian.

With an outfit like that, Greedo is more suited in a disco dancefloor than being a bounty hunter. Failure from the outset when Han is just doing him a favor so that he can chose another profession when his next life comes along.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back - Bounty Hunter Zuckuss

Star Wars Wookiepedia :

An insectoid being with compound eyes, Zuckuss was a Force-sensitive male Gand born on his species' homeworld of Gand as one of the planet's traditional findsmen. Using the findsmen's mystic traditions, dating back centuries, Zuckuss operated as a tireless tracker until the planet's findsman traditions began dying out. After failing to retrieve a T'karra flower from the nesting grounds of a charon, Zuckuss was deemed to have failed a traditional findsman rite and was cast out of his clan. He became one of the first such to leave the planet's thick and toxic atmosphere, and wore a respirator to breathe ammonia while operating in oxygen-rich atmospheres in the wider galaxy. He worked as a bounty hunter on lucrative jobs that made use of his particular talents as a highly sought-after hunter with renowned tracking skills, and he often paired up with 4-LOM on many occasions. Although Zuckuss's uncanny abilities made some uneasy, he and 4-LOM remained a formidable team. They flew aboard the Mist Hunter, which Zuckuss filled with gasses to remind him of his homeworld.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars Sandtrooper Sergeant (White Pouldron)

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars Original Trilogy C-3PO

From Wikipedia :

C-3PO (/ˌsiːˈθriːpioʊ/) or See-Threepio is a humanoid robot character in the Star Wars franchise who appears in the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy. Built by Anakin Skywalker, C-3PO was designed as a protocol droid intended to assist in etiquette, customs, and translation, boasting that he is "fluent in over six million forms of communication". Along with his astromech droid counterpart and friend R2-D2, C-3PO provides comic relief within the narrative structure of the films, and serves as a foil. Anthony Daniels has portrayed the character in eleven of the twelve theatrical Star Wars films released to date, with the exception of Solo: A Star Wars Story, where the character does not appear.

Despite his oblivious nature, C-3PO has played a pivotal role in the galaxy's history, appearing under the service of Shmi Skywalker, the Lars homestead, Padmé Amidala, Bail Organa, Raymus Antilles, Luke Skywalker, Jabba the Hutt, and Leia Organa. In the majority of depictions, C-3PO's physical appearance is primarily a polished gold plating with a silver plated right leg (from knee joint to ankle), although his appearance varies throughout the films; including the absence of metal coverings in The Phantom Menace, a dull copper plating in Attack of the Clones, and a red left arm in The Force Awakens. C-3PO also appears frequently in both canon and Star Wars Legends continuities of novels, comic books, and video games, and was a protagonist in the animated television series Droids.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars Jabba's Major-Domo, Bib Fortuna

From inside the box :

A tall, pale-skinned humanoid, with distinctive, curling lekku and pulpy chin roll, Bib Fortuna is the very epitome of male Twi'lek glamour. But, in truth, beneath the pallid complexion and behind the soulless, pink eyes beats the limp heart of a cowardly Hutt lackey.Though he exalts in the respect and obedience his station, as major-domo to one of the Outer Rim's most feared crime lords, demand from those around him, Bib knows he is really little more than an errand boy and vassel for the will of his bloated master.

Under Jabba the Hutt's direction, the Twi'lek lieutenant orchastrates shady deals and illicit substances and contraband. At his master's bidding, he trades in slaves of his own kind, purveying and exhibiting their bodies for Jabba's amusement and that of his sycophantic guests. Little of the wealth and power that passes through Bib's clawed hands ever remains his own to keep. Even the act of ambitious treachery that elevated him to the position of Hutt's second were merely blind plays, made by a weak-willed man, caught in the tide of the criminal underworld and trying to stay afloat. The Twi'lek even fancies that he might one day overthrow the slug in some kind of glorious mutiny, seizing Jabba's assets as his own, but if he were truly capable of such steely initiative, it would have happened long ago.

Now it is too late, for with the arrival in Jabba's desert palace of two droids, gift of the self proclaimed Jedi Skywalker, the dice are tossed in a game of fate far bolder than Bib could have conceived. Time has run out for Jabba and his criminal empire, and his act of self-aggrandizing debauchery will finally swallow him and those who serve him too, for the Jedi are returned.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars : The Empire Strikes Back - Bossk

From inside the box :

The dreaded bounty hunter Bossk's reputation as a killer began at birth when he clawed his way out of his own's egg and moments later, devoured each and every one of his unhatched siblings. This display of savage dominances impressed Bossk's father and earned him his name, which, in his native Trandoshan, translate to, 'devours his prey.'

As he matured, Bossk developed a reputation for slaughtering and skinning Wookiees, a Trandoshan tradition that threw him head to head with Chewbacca and Han Solo on several occassions. Their continued run-ins developed into a long-standing rivalry, and when he was approached by Darth Vader to hunt down and capture the Millenium Falcon, Bossk eagerly accepted the opportunity. That particular bounty was denied to Bossk, however, when Han Solo and his friends were tracked by Boba Fett to Bespin's Cloud City after the Battle of Hoth.

Despite his significant loss, his tenure as a bounty hunter was mostly successful, spanning the time period from the Clone Wars and the Dark Times, all the way through the Rebellion and beyond. A true renegade, Bossk's lengthty career found him toe-to-toe with Jabba the Hutt, the Galactic Empire, the Old Republic, and the Jedi Order. Bossk eventually even killed and devoured his own father for leadership of the Bounty Hunter's Guild.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Star Wars Luke Skywalker Red-5 X-Wing Pilot

From Wookieepedia :

Following the final command of Red Leader, Red Five Luke Skywalker led the final attempt with Red Two Wedge Antilles and Red Three, Luke's old friend Biggs Darklighter, as wingmen. Rushing down the trench at full throttle, they found themselves being tailed by Darth Vader and his fighters.

Vader personally damaged Antilles' fighter, forcing him to disengage, and destroyed Darklighter's X-wing, forcing Skywalker to attempt the shot on his own. In this dire moment the Rebel leaders were concerned when the young pilot deactivated his targeting system for the attempt, but Skywalker assured them that nothing was wrong; he was advised by the spirit of Kenobi to rely on the Force instead for his attack. For his part, Vader sensed this power himself and found firing on the fighter unusually difficult, with his single hit only putting R2-D2, who was serving as the fighter's astromech droid, out of commission. When Vader prepared to finally shoot down the enemy, one of his wingmen was suddenly shot down from above beside him. The source of that attack was the Millennium Falcon diving out of the nearby star's light. Han Solo and Chewbacca, believed to have abandoned the Rebels prior to the assault, unexpectedly returned to assist Skywalker in his most desperate moment.

Momentarily distracted by the intervention, Vader's remaining wingman collided with his ship, and both spiraled out of control. The TIE fighter pilot flew into the side of the trench and knocked Vader away from the Death Star, and this allowed Skywalker to fire his shot. With the aid of the Force, the torpedoes shot along the trench and entered the shaft perfectly, as the two surviving X-wings, the lone surviving Y-wing and the aging freighter made for Yavin 4. The surviving rebel pilots included Skywalker, Antilles[1] and Gold Three Evaan Verlaine.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars IG-88

From Wookieepedia :

IG-88 seems to be primarily built from parts of aircraft scrap, though most of his parts have yet to be identified. The droid's head was constructed from a Rolls-Royce Derwent jet engine burner can with slight modifications and additions. Similar burner cans were originally used as part of the distillery behind the bar in the Mos Eisley Cantina in A New Hope. A similar prop also appears in a junkyard in "Dawn of the Gods", an episode of the British science-fiction series Blake's 7 which aired in 1980.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars Lando Calrissian in Skiff Guard Disguise

Sideshow announced the release of a sixth scale Lando Calrissian in Skiff Guard Disguise at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) in Jul 2018. I was both excited and "disappointed".

There is no need for further explanation on the excited part. I am a big fan of this character in this outfit. Already plotting to buy the Hasbro SAGA version, the only version in 1/6 scale back then, but even that one is as rare and hard to get. Sideshow's version look zillion times better. The images (at SDCC) look so good that there is no worry if HT gonna release one down the road as this one has already checked all my boxes.

Sideshow Toys 1/6 Scale Star Wars Momaw Nadon (aka Hammerhead)

From Wookieepedia :

Momaw Nadon, also known as "Hammerhead," was a male Ithorian who was exiled from his homeworld of Ithor as punishment for revealing the agricultural secrets of his species to the Galactic Empire in order to save the planet. He spent his exile on Tatooine and sympathized with the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.
Momaw Nadon first appeared in the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope but went unnamed until identified as "Hammerhead" for his Kenner Products action figure. He received his name and backstory in Galaxy Guide 1: A New Hope, a 1989 Star Wars Legends sourcebook written by Michael Stern and Grant S. Boucher for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. His name and portions of his backstory were confirmed to be canon by the reference book Ultimate Star Wars, which was released in 2015.

Sideshow Toys Star Wars 1/6 Endor Rebel Infantry (Reworked)

From Wookiepedia :

With the discovery that the second Death Star was protected by an energy shield generated from the forest moon of Endor, Alliance High Command realized that they needed a highly skilled strike team to penetrate the Imperial defenses and neutralize the facility. General Crix Madine devised a plan to insert a commando force onto Endor using a stolen Imperial shuttle, Tydirium, and destroy the Imperial base on the surface.

Sideshow Toys Star Wars 1/6 Imperial Snowtrooper

From Wookiepedia :
Snowtroopers were specialized stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire trained and equipped to operate in frigid environments such as the icy planet of Hoth. When the Empire routed the enemy Rebel Alliance from its headquarters on Hoth, snowtroopers led by Darth Vader were involved in the battle.

Snowtroopers were known to have been handpicked from worlds already known to have frigid climate. That way the Empire would have troopers that were already used to the cold climates they were going to be dropped into. A must have for their elite corp. The snowtrooper armor was also thermal to trap body heat to help defend against the cold.

SIdeshow Toys : 501st Legion Clone Trooper

After waiting for months after my pre-ordering, the 501st Legion Vader's Fist Clone Trooper finally arrives. He came with the usual accessories of a long blaster rifle and a short blaster, a pair of fist hands and finally, a doll stand. Exactly the same kind of accessories as the Utapau and Shocktrooper though I am not sure those 2 came with a pair of spare hands or just 1 pcs. Too lazy to check.
