First de Plume figure and if there is only 1 de Plume you wanted, this will be the one. To top it over the other de Plumes, it had 2 pistols! The other difference being the long sleeve is on his left instead of having it on the right with all other de Plumes. The story goes that Barguest is the last de Plume and Fantome is the ghost of Barguest, hence the white shades.
For those who doesn't know, the mask of all de Plumes are fixed onto the face. I'm not sure if the mask and face are molded into a single piece or not. The face veil is also glued onto the mask however, it can be removed. When removed, Fantome will look just like the other face-veil-less de Plumes design. Helmet is also glued onto the head. Collectors had tried using flat headed screwdriver to remove the helmet with success but not sure how hard/strong the glue is. Not about to try it myself.though.
The close up shot of the face makes it looks like a Star Wars's Snowtrooper. Ashley Wood is a Star Wars fan and it won't be a surprise that the inspiration comes from the Snowtrooper.
Fantome de Plume was a 3AA exclusive and only available at Bambalandstore for 24hrs window. And in the same drop, there was Barguest de Plume which I also bought and will hopefully be added into this blog soon.
