Hasbro Transformers Alternator A-14 Decepticons Decepticharge (Honda S2000)

Wasn't well learned about each Transformers robot's real background and was depending on TF Wiki for info. Decepticharge seems to be a lost child or some sorts, or was it very existence is only cater for the toy line in this case, Hasbro's Alternators. Decepticharge never gets a Binaltech sample released. The other Honda S2000 in these lines - Alternator and Binaltech - are Overdrive and Arcee.

A story - bordering around the toy lines - were available but I couldn't make much sense of it. Nevertheless, here it is for anyone who is interested :

From transformers wikia :
After the Prowl debacle, it was determined that the Binaltech GT remote-linking system required further testing before being used for any other Autobots. An Earth Defense Command shuttle was dispatched into space with three empty Binaltech units on board: a pair of BT-16 Honda S-2000 Aero Style bodies intended for Windcharger, and the blue BT-15 GHS (Generic Host Shell) built for Prowl. As it travelled outside of Earth's solar system, the shuttle disappeared with the bodies on board.

Through an outside force, the silver BT-16 Beta Unit was fused with the spark of a Transformer from the future. The yellow Delta Unit retained Windcharger's pre-programmed abilities, but was implanted with an evil laser core to become a new being called Decepticharge.

Two days after the shuttle's disappearance, the pair materialized before Shockwave and his Decepticons in the midst of a Starscream-led coup d’état. Decepticharge quelled the uprising with a powerful electromagnetic wave and told the Decepticons that Unicron was angry at them for their petty schemes to use his power, commanding them to defeat Optimus Prime and destroy the Matrix of Leadership.

Decepticharge robot mode is very well designed and it has a very good proportion. The hard shell roof was ingeniously used as a shield but the "engine weapon" is kind of a letdown with its nondescript look which barely represent something that can fire any proton beam. Hence i uses Yamato Macross 1/60 VF-1's blaster in some of the pictures here.
There are not too much obstruction articulations wise but it baffles me that most of the joints are in hinges instead of my better preferred ball and socket joint. It renders the articulations rigid and most of the angle are predefine which left much to be desired. Decepticharge can still strike a few neat poses as these pictures shows.
I especially like the headsculpt design. If painted, it'll look stunning. Unfortunately, most (if not all) of the yellow part are original plastic color. It isn't just plain yellow but there are little sparkling glint in the plastic that look chrome-like but I'm not too impressed.
Decepticharge have also some beautifully stenciled logos and advertisement that (again) unfortunately are all folded in out of sight from the transformation.

Gotten Decepticharge from the same seller I got Sunstreaker and a few others namely Swindle, Prowl and Grimlock. Again, from a collector who take care of his toys, Decepticharge is in good shape apart from his rusted out rivets (see round brown stuff near the ankle of the feet) and a crooked sterling wheel (which is rubber anyway).
The only stencil you see after transformed is the big no.4 on the car engine hood. It is behind so could still be classified as out of sight. Nice little yellow bot that is 1/24 scale. Love yellow mechanics and would hope to continue with a few more yellow bots spread in this blog.
