NAM US Navy SEAL, Oscar

Took out an old kitbash figure and take some new shots. This kitbash is using a very old Dragon Models Limited (DML) NAM US Navy SEAL Oscar that was released at least 10 - 11 years ago (2002 - 2003 period).

The stock Oscar came packaged with an AK-47 assault rifle and I had it swapped out for an colt XM-177. I'm quite sure this one I uses in the bash is a later version of the XM-177 and probably never seen action in Vietnam during the conflict era.
Also add a AK ammo chest rigs (I think from Hot Toys) with remodeled twigs-lock mechanism. Can't remember which company made the Butt Pack. Twin pocket backpack was of the old 21C make. I've replaced (all) the ribbon-glossy-straps with proper nylon ones and also sowed the helms to make the pack more realistic. Canvas boots were from Armory's IDF trooper repainted. Floatation vest from BBi I guessed.
I've also repainted the headsculpt camouflage.

DML Oscar is a good kit and it has a set of excellent quality ERDL camo blouse and tiger stripped pants. The AK-47 is still one of the best 1/6 representation out there. However, all it's molded web gear are obsolete by today's standard.  But it is not difficult to find those items in cloth these days. So if you want to do a NAM era SEAL quickly, get Oscar and you pretty much have the essentials to begin your kitbash with.
