From ThreeA Wiki (link is no longer active) :
Blind Cowboy, also known as "Emit Brown" or "The Blind Gunslinger," is a mysterious character in the Popbot Universe who is hunting Kitty. Blind Cowboy is distinguished by the rag blindfold covering his eyes that was once used to wipe the blood from JFK during his assassination.
Although this character was one of the first Popbot figures announced for release by ThreeA Toys, he has spent extended time in research and development with an August 2011 release.
His family killed by a gang of deranged robots, his eyesight taken as
payment for someone else's debt. He now wears the rag reputedly used to
mop the bloody brow of the assassinated JFK, the turgid rag now giving a
clarity of vision, a clarity of justice and revenge to the Blind
Cowboy. His is only friend, a horse named Ghost!
Always find a Cowboy character strange in Popbot universe. I think the Blind Cowboy fits in better within Adventure Kartel.
I think this character's design actually lent heavily on Clint Eastwood's character "Blondie" in "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly". No ground breaking design there. Probably why it doesn't really do well in the secondary market like how the usual Popbot character does.
The Blind Cowboy came with an enormous amount of revolvers - 7 in total. 6 on the belt and 1 around the calf. Practical? Eh... somewhat. And more is better than less in a toy point of view.
He came with a standard 3A (Hot Toys esque True Type) body and also has 1 extra left hand with straight laid out fingers aka a salute stance.
Soft wire were hemmed inside the rim of the Cowboy had hence you could actually fashion the hat in that manner. Both hands had trigger finger ready for a shooting stance and the boots were western esque. Revolver pouches and belt were made from cheapo pleather material (faux leather) but I would actually expect the belt to at least be made from a more durable material since so many revolvers were lodged on it. Perhaps room for me to make some modification using real leather straps.
Overall I'm somewhat happy on how Blind Cowboy turned out and I never regret not getting the super set that has Ghost Horse. But I do think that there is missed opportunity that such a great character's design weren't really thought through and gave him more originality. Headsculpt is another area I think lacking. He look too generic and hence lacked character.Do you even think there will be a Ver2 of the Blind Cowboy?
