ThreeA 3A Ashley Wood WWR Barguest de Plume

According to Ashley Wood, Barguest de Plume is the last de Plume to be made for sale. Probably that is the reason why this particular de Plume seems to flood the market and has the worst secondary market value of all his de Plumes brothers. Whatever value it holds, I still love it. My first de Plume I managed to get off Bambalandstore at retail price - with 3AA discount. In the same drop day, a 3AA white version was also released and needless to say, I snag that one (Fantome de Plume) also.

Barguest de Plume is a simple figure and it has the de Plume's signature long sleeve on one side. The difference here is the rest of the de Plumes had their long sleeve on the right side. But Barguest had it on his left. Face veil is also only used once for Kuan Ti Plume and this fashion is revisited, for the last time, here for Barguest and Fantome. I actually love the veil as it gives Barguest an added sense of mystery and aesthetically, it looks good too.
Many would think that Barguest is black but let me tell you, not entirely so. He is kinda green but the very very very deep green type that you can only tell the true shade if you look hard enough. An added sense of mystery once again. The only thing that 3A ought to review is that Barguest came armed with 2 pistol. But only the right hand are sculpted to hold the pistol while the left hand is the normal "grabbing" sculpt. Either 3A give us another left hand with a trigger sculpt so that we can pose both weapons on hand.
However, there is a simple fix by the all ingenuine legionnaire. Just slice apart the joint fingers and you can push the index finger towards the trigger for a firm grip. But then, it doesn't look very natural... yeah, I'm anal about such stuffs. So, an extra left hand or a sculpted for use one would be preferred.
Finally, the "X" design in his T-Shirt makes many thought it is a bad idea. Kinda telling the snipers to "hey! here, shoot right in the middle of my X". I beg to differ... robots doesn't use conventional aiming methods like us mere humans. So whether there is an "X" or not, it makes no difference. I love the design and am glad it has it. The initial trade picture doesn't have it during sale time. To be honest, the trade picture doesn't really entice me enough but I still get it anyway since it is the last one to be had (ahh.. Ash's marketing ploy works!).
