This is a mail away set that only if you purchase New Rider No.1 Ver 2 and using an ordering card inside that you can get this. On top of that, this is only possible if you had a Japanese address. Well, our very inventive retailer had their way in acquiring this for their customers and I am one of the lucky ones to get a set. The set also came with a complete gear set of shocker Rider with Yellow gloves and boots. And it came with all 6 colored scarf so all we need to do is to find a Medicom RAH301 nude and you have 2 figure in 1 box.
Somehow, the detail to this DX version still wasn't up to speed, there is certainly much more room for further improvement for a Ver 3, 4 or 5 to come. The vinyl used for the boots were a little hard hence posing its ankle and other dynamic pose is quite difficult. The entire body also is a bit rigid and difficult to do posing. Head fell off its ball socket easily, same issue as my Medi Bruce Lee, and no matter how hard I tried pushing it in, it just won't lock.
I can say I kinda not very please with this figure in its entirety.
Happened to also own the very early 90s Medicom version which is non-DX. There are lots of knock offs in the market for this version but they have metal feelers. The original had plastic feelers which though less poseable but is preferred since not as fragile. Just look how far Medicom had come in their figure design but like I said earlier, they can definitely do much better.
