Hot Toys MMS073 Predator's Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer

Finally gotten the good Major at a somewhat sane price, but is still a little above the original retail price. What to do? The price to pay for an undecisive mind earlier when it just came out. And with the inclusion of the Governator, I concluded my Predator line of figures. Its a shame that Sonny Langham, the guy who played Billy and only the other human figure from the 1st Predator movie made by HT, doesn't allow HT the license to make his character's representation. Hence the very big contrast in likeness from Dutch to Billy comparison. Anyway, on to the figure.

HT was being stingy here for this set cos it only came with one extra hand for holding the cigar. Other accessories includes 2 grenades (I believe most of us has an abundance of this already), 2 combat knives, 1 pistol and an oversized M16/203 and finally a name tagged stand if you consider that as one of the accessory. Only the likeness of the sculpt saved this set from total disaster. I also dislike the beets when it looks quite "skinny" if you know what I mean. And quite underscale. Probably will change it away with a pair of cloth jungle boots from Toysoldier. Will also have to find a DML's M16/203 for him. DML still make the best looking and to scale M16/203.
I chose to display Dutch as shown in this manner which reveal his nicely sculpted arm muscles. The yellow blouse that came with it somehow had a longer sleeve that you will have to fold up. And when put on, the collar ran up so high the jawline that it gives a "turtle-neck" effect. Better to leave it out LOL!

The inevitable face-off shot between the Predators... yeah, who is the Predator here actually?! Now will HT make a Commando-Arnold? It'll be great if they do.
