Lego Brickheadz MOC Princess Leia Organa Boushh Disguise

My Own Creation (MOC), is a term Lego builders used to differentiate their own design and build using Lego bricks as medium. It does not need to be an exceptional build to say that your build is a MOC. As long as it is original, one and only.
Lego has a series of build blocked figures it call the "Brickheadz" which encompasses across many licenses. Star Wars is one of it. However the speed of Lego releasing each Star Wars character is somewhat slow like on an average 2 sets per year. Sometimes the character they chose to release is also questionable when there are more iconic character to make instead.
Fret not, there are many MOC creators in the community who will have no qualms to showcase their talent plugging the holes in between. Some versions of MOC Brickheadz Leia Boushh were created. This entry is to showcase 2 of it I have from different creator for comparison - specifically from my own point of view - which one takes the cake.
Lego has yet to make an official Brickheadz version of Leia Boushh.
Disclaimer - the Brickheadz shown in this entry are not my creation per se.

Both MOCs side by side with ThrawnsRevenge's (TR) version on the left, custominstructions's (CI) version on the right. TR's version gave the first impression that it is loaded with details and still keeping the Brickheadz format in earnest while CI's version gave a no nonsence direct build.

TrawnsRevenge's MOC Leia Boushh
This MOC builder produced a "complete set" that includes an unhelmeted Leia's head block. I was immediately captivated by how well it resemble the character even though it is in this Brickheadz format. The details are amazing. I had to have it in my collection. Bought the build instructions at Rebrickable.com for USD 2.50 and all the required parts at Bricklink (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/main.page) total cost about SGD 30/-. A standard official Lego Brickheadz set cost about SGD 17 for a single pack. Probably SGD 25 with an additional head build. Not too far off in terms of cost (excluding cost for build instructions). It is totally worth it.

It is amazing how TR can reproduced such intricate details especially having that green strip across the top portion of the helmet and the dark "eye visor" strip beneath it. Slightly tilted protruded mouth piece all cramped into a fixed ratio sized head with little real estate.
Built a grey body of the same design for mounting of Leia's unhelmeted head so it can be displayed side by side. Perhaps will recreate the body in full colour to have both complete version.

Custominstructions's MOC Leia Boushh
This is a decent MOC that succeeded in giving a proper representation to the character it is supposed to portray. When put side by side with TR's version, this version pales in comparison.
Bought this at AlieExpress most likely a case where the seller there bought the instruction and start a production of this Brickheadz for sale.
Not going into a discussion of whether it is right or wrong to do so. The reseller does pay for the instructions which is for sale publicly. Personally I am happy to buy this copy without going through the pain on sourcing for parts at Bricklink which I certainly wouldn't do for this design.
Nevertheless, it is a Brickheadz Leia Boushh, and it is readily available.

Brickheadz are Lego's fun little character build in a Super Deformed (SD) format. It retains enough resemblance to the characters it set out to represent. Lego have it easy with their official releases by having printed bricks for details and in the same time simplified the build, reducing the brick count - because they can.

Most, if not all, MOC designs uses different coloured bricks to form out the design on the garb. Just a direct reference to TR's Boushh version, collar part is created out of caremel 1x1 slope colour bricks coupled with some clever way of construction. Lego will likely just give a tile piece with printed collar.
Lando's moustache is another actual example.

Lando in the middle is from official Lego 40623 Heroes of Endor set. Flanked on its sides are MOCs.

If Lego ever going to release an official version of Leia Boushh, I highly doubt it will top TR's version.
Many talented MOC builders had adequately filled the gap of Lego low Star Wars Brickheadz release about 2 sets each year on recent years. Most of the MOCs are really outstanding very well design and looked a large part like the character it is trying to represent.
Will be seeking out instructions to build a Han Solo in Carbonate. Boushh and stone cold Han need to be paired together isn't it?
