From Wookieepedia :
Vizam was a Kajain'sa'Nikto male who served as weapons master for the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. In 4 ABY, he was present in the throne room of Jabba's Palace on the planet Tatooine when the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO arrived to deliver a message from the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, a member of the Rebel Alliance. Skywalker stated his desire to see the smuggler Han Solo freed from imprisonment in the palace and then gifted the droids to Jabba.
Vizam later watched a performance by the Max Rebo Band in the throne room which ended with the dancer Oola being dropped through a trap door into a pit containing the rancor Pateesa. The Nikto excitedly watched as the dancer was killed, after which Skywalker's ally Princess Leia Organa arrived disguised as a bounty hunter with the Wookiee Chewbacca as a prisoner. Vizam and the rest of Jabba's court later hid within the throne room in order to catch Organa attempting to free Solo. Once the smuggler was free, Jabba revealed himself along with Vizam and the others and then had Organa and Solo captured.
Vizam was again present in the throne room when Skywalker himself arrived and witnessed Jabba drop the Jedi into the rancor pit, only for Skywalker to slay Pateesa. Jabba then demanded that the prisoners be fed to the sarlacc living in the Great Pit of Carkoon. Vizam traveled to the pit onboard Jabba's sail barge, the Khetanna, but once at their destination the prisoners managed to free themselves. Vizam mounted a laser cannon on the barge's top deck and opened fire on the skiff carrying the prisoners, but was slain by Skywalker using his lightsaber once the Jedi managed to board the barge.

TVC VC153 Vizam is only sold in a Skiff Guard 3 pack together with VC152 Vedain and VC154 Brock Starsher. And I only got it last week with help from a friend. It was MSRP at around $90 and were marked down to $35 (at Takashimaya sale). Not perfect box but perfect to break them out of the cards. Promptly got 2 sets nonetheless. Box are bad but the cards are pristine. Not a bad deal at all.
Vizam, specifically this figure, is my least like among the Jabba goons I've got. It really doesn't look that much improved from the earlier POTF Skiff Guards Cinema Scene pack. I'd much prefer the legs to not spread out like that and be closer placed together. Such pre-action pose sculpt looks POTF-ish.

Patience is require when posing more dynamic pose with this figure. But this time round, found a pin stand used by gashapon, and it fits perfectly into the peg hole underneath the heel. That allows the walking stance and the heavy blaster firing stance. Will come in handy for the next figure's photoshoot.
Heading off to the scores without further ado.

Sculpting - 4/5
Headsculpt is the usual super high quality as the picture shows. But the "vest" I feel was sculpted way too flatly that it looks like a chest armour. It is a fabric material afterall and some "flow" pattern will carry this figure futher. Arms and legs have the usual high sculpting standard which pretty much swing this category back to a very good level.. but short of being excellent.
Painting - 3/5
First the not so good. Chest piece (again) I feel could use a more earth tone like a sandy yellow or Buff colour. Too overly yellow always gives me the "lemon" vibe. It could just be my personal preference but it didn't sit well for me.
Joint area are neglected, as usual. Blue is showing off at the knee joint form the dominant white. It just stuck out like a sore thumb.
Heavy Blaster can also use more weathering instead of just a plain silver paint.
Overall it seems like a step backwards from the Black Series release. See comparison (Left TVC, Right Black Series)
Articulation - 3/5
Posing Vizam is a chore. It will be well received if the figure can come packed with a flat heel-pegged stand. Head on a ball joint but due to the design, it can't really be tilt to look downwards.
Major lacking in hip which can only do a front and back kick. The loin cloth in front doesn't help the range of movement. It is the same issue as Nikto.
Elbow, hand, knee and feet swivel, which is a standard for figures these days, are present. A saving grace for Vizam.
Accesories - 5/5
There is low expectation for accessories in an action figure that I require. A figure can do away all the bells and whistles. I will be satisfied if Vizam only comes with a Blaster Pistol. But in the movie, he is the Heavy Blaster guy who blasted away at the prisoner's skiff (causing Lando to slide overboard). Therefore the heavy blaster is a signature for Vizam. It is there and included. Full score here without a doubt.

Vizam wasn't on the skiff but is an important character which contributed to the flow of the story. But the designer hasn't given enough due respect Vizam deserve. Hope there will be further iteration of this figure in future and there are much room for improvement.
Ending this entry with a set picture and a movie still. Love it when he is blasting away with that heavy blaster.
