Medicom Star Wars 1/6 Vinyl Collectible Dolls (VCD) Wicket the Ewok

From Wookiepedia :
Wicket Wystri Warrick was a male Ewok scout, warrior and later Chief of Bright Tree Village on the forest moon of Endor. The great-grandson of Erpham Warrick, Wicket was the third son of Deej and Shodu Warrick, following Weechee and Willy and was the older brother of Winda.

Wicket led an adventurous life, even from a very young age. He and his friends, namely Teebo and Princess Kneesaa, continually protected their village and the surrounding forest from those who would do them harm, such as Morag the Tulgah witch, the Duloks and other threats from Endor and beyond. He almost even inadvertently killed Emperor Palpatine while defending the sunstar during Doctor Raygar's quest for Imperial domination.

Wicket aided the Towani family when they crash-landed on Endor and later assisted Noa Briqualon in the battle against the Sanyassans. Wicket also played an instrumental role in helping the Rebel Alliance defeat the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Endor. After the death of Chief Chirpa, Wicket Warrick and his bride, Kneesaa, together ruled over Bright Tree Village.

Wicket first appear on big screen in Star Wars episode 6, Return of the Jedi in 1983. He saved Princess Leia, at the forest moon of Endor, whose (stolen) Speeder Bike was shot down by another manned by an Imperial Biker Scout.

Wicket is in the same series as Yoda and is also made by the Japanese brand Medicom. This is the best detail 1/6 Wicket there ever was and while the sculpting is as good as it gets, I still find this a little lacking mainly in the paintwork.
There are a grand total of 3 points of articulations in both the shoulders, and the head. While you can only swing the arms up and down in a fixed axis and turn the head left to right. Not ball jointed.
The head cape was lightly glued to the head part and the body. I suppose it is for it to appear more naturally draped over. As such, you can turn the head but not too much without dislodging the cape from the glue
This Ewok only came with a singular accessory in the spear. Super lean and consider Medicom are notorious for charging obscene amount of money for mediocre product, you must be thinking I'm mad buying this.

Ahh but I'm a prudent toy collector, always looking for value for money buy and yet is something I wanted. As what I've mentioned, Medicom do charges high for Wicket resulting in the stocks not really moving and taking up retailer's space.
Got my brave Ewok in a clearance sale and paid $40 for it. Though I've heard stories that at one of the toy show in the same period of time, a retailer is "throwing" it at $10 a pop. It remains a myth but $40 is a price I find fair.
Now if only I can find a Medicom VCD Jawa at this kind of prices... I'm gonna get a few of it.
