Hasbro Star Wars 1/6 Power of the Force Action Collection Jawa

From Wookiepedia :
Jawas were typically short rodent-like natives of Tatooine. They were passionate scavengers, seeking out technology for sale or trade in the deep deserts in their huge sandcrawler transports. A band of Jawas were responsible for locating C-3PO and R2-D2 and selling them to Luke Skywalker's uncle Owen Lars. Another tribe of Jawas, led by Tteel Kkak, found Jabba the Hutt's rancor. They had a reputation for swindling, as they had a penchant for selling old equipment such as outdated faulty droids to moisture farmers. However, they were extremely passive beings, and hardly put up any resistance to colonists of their planet unlike the other natives the Sand people, instead seeing foreigners as an excellent business opportunity.

This Jawa stands at about 6" tall and have a very basic 5pts of articulations in the neck, arms and legs that's all. It also has a specifically sculpted body that it looks like bandaged all over (like a Mummy). Both eyes are yellow  LED and it will light up when you depressed a button at the back of the figure (see picture). Being Hasbro, the ammo belt, across the body, are a single molded piece. Maybe I should do a little upgrading and change the strap to actual leather (or pleather) material.
Apart from the ammo belt, the Jawa also came with it's ion blaster "that shot beams of energy to disable droids". R2-D2 were hit by this and immediately went bonkers. Sculpt of the blaster is average at best but that is within expectation for Hasbro.
I like how Hasbro has taken the effort to fray the edge of the cape to give an additional realism.
Hasbro releases another 1/6 scale Jawa under the Star Wars SAGA 2002 - 2004 blue box series. It was a twin pack and contains 2 Jawas in a box. Unfortunately, Hasbro decided to do away the cloth cloak and have a molded one in place. Now it just looks like an oversize 3.75" Jawa.
Medicom also releases a 1/6 scale version of this character under their "Vinyl Collection Series". Needless to say, that one is superior to all other versions (but just a little over this one here). That should be in my collection if not for the hefty price tag.

I bought 4 of this some years back when Toys R' Us are having a clearance sale of all things Star Wars. 4 so that they can lined up to lift R2 off onto their shoulders. But after a while, having 4 of exactly the same Jawa seems to wear off. It is a better idea to have some variations ie a Hasbro version and perhaps a Medicom ones would look cool in display. Sold off 2 couple of weeks back, 1 of it is here in this posting, and for some strange reason, I couldn't find the 4th one. Must have misplaced it somewhere when moving to BP.
I almost forgot how good it looks and glad that I still have one to play with. Seriously looking around for a good priced Medicom Jawa now.
