ThreeA Ashley Wood Adventure Kartel KA Mumb

"5000 Years in the Making", not quite. But the Mumb (Mummies) are going in the right direction along the fable tale of Adventure Kartel which ties loosely to ancient Egyptian myth.
KA Mumbs were released on Bambalandstore on 18 Mar 2013 with 4 standard color variants namely White, Beige, Orange and Green. You buy the blind box at US$100 a pop and pray you got the color you want. Otherwise a 4 Pack is available at US$320. A more bizarre Kamo(flage) Mumb was a surprise F5 drop. There were also DIY and GID and IIRC, they are random inserted when you buy a single blind single.
I wanted just the Orange Mumb. Not gonna spend the money and to take a bet, so I skipped the whole sale altogether. Surprisingly, there are only few people selling this in the secondary market. Was tracking one until a sane price eBay.sg sale comes along and I BIN it immediately. Collected it the same day and took these shots the very night.

It could be due to the bandages, the hip joints are really rigid and you can't raise the thighs as much as how you can with a standard 12" figure. Another mentionable point are the feet. They have a mid-section articulation - just like how you have them on Dropcloth 1.5's. The other articulations are pretty standard though I do not suggest you over pose the figure as the bandage may run out of place and ruin the figure.
The steam tank is connected to the back via a peg into the hole on the body. I can imagine the frustration of the factory worker wrapping these guys. There are just so many places to take note not to overwrap.

KA Mumb is one of the best Adventure Kartel figure so far and I am glad to finally have one in my collection and is in the color I wanted.
