ThreeA 3A Ashley Wood Adventure Kartel Junglevet

After a long hiatus of no updates to this blog, Adventure Kartel Junglevet is an ideal choice to kick start this engine again. Ankou Junglevet is a retailer exclusive ie wasn't release through Bambalandstore but was made essentially for distribution to retailers. I had to purchase through a retailer here and my 3AA 15% discount doesn't apply :(

Ankou Junglevet is different from the previously released Ankou for it has a pair of fingered hands instead of claws that it's predecessor had. The pair of hands gave a whole new dimension of poseability to Junglevet. It came with the usual Boiler suit but what made this suit special is the hood. Flexible wires are hemmed inside the edge of the hood thus made it poseable.
There seems to have more belt pouches as compares to the earlier Ankous. Always, more is better than less.
I don't really like the camouflage scheme for Junglevet though it's name already suggested that he operates in the jungle/forest and that having a camo suit kinda a no brainer. Personal preference actually. To me, I like AK is because of it's goofy characters and colorful garb. Camouflage is too militarily inclined and not really fitting into the overall AK image. I have placed junglevet among the rest of my AK crew in the cabinet and I somehow feel it is quite out of place. Nevertheless, I cannot missed out an Ankou with fingered hands.
And 3A actually painted the hands with different color gives an idea that the Junglevet may possibly have salvaged those hands, on separate occasion, to replace it's original claws. Hands are always better than claws isn't it?

Sneaked out during lunch time and brought Junglevet to a nearby park for some outdoor shoot. The camouflage actually gel well with the surroundings tropical foliage. The single ping-pong eye has simple mechanism but posing it gives the character so many expression and it is really fun.

The Junglevet is a fun figure to meddle with. Here are some YAY and NAY points summary :
YAY
> Fingered hands.
> Great paint job.
> Wire hemmed in hood.
> Great poseability.
NAY
> Finger can't lodge inside trigger ring of it's pistol.
> No additional wrist pegs.
> No poster.
> Weak retail box design.

May looks like a busy month for 3A shipment. I'm expecting quite a few packages landing within this month and hopefully I can make a few more new post when those stuffs arrives. Till then....
