Hasbro Star Wars 3.75" The Vintage Collection 2010 VC107 Weequay Skiff Guard

From Wookiepedia :
Weequays were a race of humanoids who came from the Outer Rim planet of Sriluur, near Hutt Space. Their home was a harsh desert planet, leading to the species' tanned skin tone and rough, sandy, wrinkled skin. Their eyes were dark and slightly recessed into their skull.
Here I have The Vintage Collection (TVC) Weequay Skiff Guard VC107 which is the latest rendition of this figure which also sees it released in the Power of the Force 2 (POTF) green card line. This figure, which continues to give excellent sculpting and great amount of articulation points, has become what made this TVC range. One could never be disappointed with.
It came with a primary Vibro Axe as well as a Blaster Pistol. It's a shame that there are no holster for the pistol and what I do is to attached a small lump of blutac and had it stuck to the back of the figure.
There is another Weequay (Skiff Master) VC48 in this same line that I will probably get when the next opportunity arises.

TVC line has proved to be very popular with local collectors even when each figure cost a retail price of S$19.9 each. Too much for a small figure if you ask me - at that time. Now, I'll gladly pay that price for some of the figures in this line. But guess I've missed the opportunity.
Weequay Skiff Guard wasn't very common and it isn't on the pegs of any retailer in town. However, when you see one on the pegs, it seems to stay there forever. Got this Weequay at Metro Causeway Point and there were about 3 of it still hanging amongst the 15 odds still hanging around. The card was banged up... C6 at best. But I want to take it out so the card condition doesn't matter much.
TVC were marked down to S$12.5 when I got this and it is about existing US retail price (US$9.99) now.
The sculpting is excellent on Weequay and I want to also comment on the paint works. The eyes were even painted - precisely - even when it is so small. Though it is all plastic but it doesn't give you the cheap plastic feeling the predecessor does. Weapon are meticulously sculpted and stature in good proportion.
Overall, this is a wonderful figure... made me wanted to go back and get another. Until I get Weequay Skiff Master.
